    Default tyre rubbing

Got new tyres for the back of my chaser last week and one of them started rubbing.they are the same profile as the last tires so im a little confused to how they never rubbed before.Ive been told an aftermarket sway bar would solve the problem.anyone got any ideas on what to do???

Is it a different brand of tyre? Sometimes the "shoulder" of the tyre can be different even if the profile is the same. It might not tuck in as much.
Sorry that's not a great explaination of what i mean

You could camber it a bit more but unfortunately when you modify you get these probs. More camber = less tyre wear. Are the arches rolled. ?

If your old tyres were knackered then maybe its just the extra rubber? I know that sounds a bit simple though! I put new federals on the front of my 81 and it immediately started scrubbing the front of the inner arch on lock, never did it before either...

"its cool i guess, but where are the other 2 doors?"

What he said ^^^^^^. The same thing happened to me when I got new tyres on 10j wheels, but it was just an excuse to burn some thread off.

What size are the tyres? I think it was 255/40's that caused rubbing on the rear of my car and the arches were rolled.

More camber = more tyre wear surely, and less tyre life.

The more negative camber you are running the faster the inside of the tyres will wear especially in road use.

Well i had the opposite happen, i changed to toyos and had more space.
As suggested maybe you could add a bit of camber or a small bit of hammer work could have the same affect, it usually only needs a few mm

Would it be fair to say that toe in/out causes more wear?
I'm running a good bit of neg camber up front but i've corrected the toe and the tyres seem to be wearing ok.
I haven't put many miles on them yet though so it's kinda hard to tell.
