Noone becoming an expert here apart from folks that know what they're talking about, they're literally passin concern that could save another engine further down the line, how is that frying his head when its merly people showing concern over something maybe that was over looked etc?

I love how your right in the sense of folks thinking they know everything when in fact a lot know sweet fa, just love to read their own opinions. (Im not stating that directly on here, im on about in general)

Shitty bad luck though, hopefully get it sorted and it'll be grand

i measured the crank tonight with a micrometer, they measured 54.985-54.965mm i think it was. We had an undamaged crank there too and compaired them both and barts was actually measuring more consitant across all than the good one. It didnt spin any of the bearings.
There is very slight scoring on the journals, you can see them on the surface but are very hard to feel under your fingernail, Not perfect but far from fucked. there was unbelievably little damage on them given the bearings were knackered

The filter has no one way valve or any thing in it like that, at the end of the day its just a paper element filter in a tin can. oil will flow both ways freely, i dont know the specific oil cooler/relocation kit your using, there is a possablity it might be that but no kit iver ever seen will only flow one way. Yes there is the right way, but the rong way wont kill an engine.

The crank needs to be mesured at at least 2 differant possisions on each jernal where a bearing has gone.
How bad did they go? metal in the sump? or just scored?
Id be bit wary of just sticking some shels in and engine where they failed so soon after a build, thats really fast wear and id be having the oil pump apart to check for scoring and damage.
Yea iv fitted new shells to engines with shell damage befor but none of them knocked and all of them wer due to high miles, not oil probs.

i dont know what relocator is on the engine or how it was plumped up. But i measured all the journals at 3 points (benifit of narrow mic's) and theres no sign of an tapering on them.

The shells were scored alright but i dont know about anything left floating in the sump, it was stripped beyond that when i got there
