Meant to say to to you dude, whatever you do dont get an ashcroft gearbox, we have seen an awful lot of problems with boxes supplied by them. some customers want them, we wont supply them but will fit if customer insists...

Cool, thanks for that I'll just open the one in it when I have another one swapped into it and I'll fix it then myself by getting the bits and pieces... if its not a case of just sweeping out the interals of the casing with a brush and dustpan and into the corner for scrap of course when I split it

Having mad notions of doing a TDV8 swap on it at some stage down the line anyway so might not need a R380 for too much longer

Have done abit more to this over the last while.

Fitted a VNT turbo, Alisport stainless exhaust manifold, boost limit box so now has somewhere around 230-250bhp and 480-500Nm... so no worries about carting the drift car about

got rid of the original landrover seats too and even those the covers on them were very durable and things, the seats just weren't really nice to sit in especially on a longer spin.
So got four Recaro LSes to fit into it and make it a 2+2. Have the two front ones in so far. must make up brackets and things for the rear and then make up a new center console to run the length of the cab.

Got a set of locking diffs too but haven't fitted them yet

Gearbox shit itself over the summer on the way to Mondello with the drift car one morning. Layshaft bearings failed so only drive I had was in 4th gear so had to continue onto Mondello and back home that evening in one gear... luckily it has plenty torque and a good clutch :laughing:
Stuck another gearbox into it for the time being until I rebuild its own one as you can get uprated bearings and shafts for them to cope with more power and heavy work.

Fitted my Recaro LS seats into it today









Must make up the new center console next and then I'll get the four of them re-trimmed in leather.
Will change the door-cards to black ones too and might do something with the headliner
