There was a question about V8 in s13, there is one in Poland (BMW 4.4 V8), I read a writeup, looked good and filled the bay nicely although it was mega cheap build and I didn't like the finish (bonnet wouldn't close so they put some horrible vent on it etc)

I've also seen there one or two old 5 series with V10 although it looked rubbish too, bonnet looked very high.

Having had a BMW before I'd choose simplicity of big american V8. Big carb, cam 400 hp out of the 6litres, no worries.

Those v8's aren't heavy too. I read comparision that RX7's twin turbo including all ancilaries, turbos, intercooler etc etc weigh almost same as chevy v8.

You'll also need T5 gearbox and for it

The fact is what is it like when it works......

LSx series mount kits are super easy to come by, and the swap isnt hard at all.

Here are two companies that specialise in the swap kits:

I prefer the sikky ones, it was the one I was going to get for my s13 in Canada.

Def rather a V8 over an sr any day even tho i love sr's. There needs to be more variety here. I really liked the sound off Lynch's car at citywest but not because its a V8, but because it was different.

V8's are the business, ive a ls1 in my road car, and it pulls like a train. And very easy to get bit power out of, very little to go wrong. Simple pushrod engine with 2 valves per cylinder. 450bhp NA is only a camshaft away
