when you say that it revs to 5000
does it mean that you've boot to floor and just wont go by 5000??
its it banging and spluttering when it reaches 5000 or just dies down???

yes when car is ticking then go to rev it it will rev to 5000rpm with no problems than after that it wont go any further makes kindoff noise like back fire then dies out completely. normally it would hit limiter. o and exhaust isnt leaking or anything.

Is it still running on all cylinders when it cuts out or is it missing on one then dying out, any noises at 5k rpm?

dose fuel cut just cut in? because have been drifting the car for good while now with out any problems

that i am not sure .i have only checked when only ticking over by plugging out injector and coil on each cylinder.
i have changed all injectors and coilpacks and that didnt fix it either
how would you suggest testing them at 4500rpm just to be sure??
no noise at 5000rpm from engine internails.

did you try a cam position sensor?, if you rev it slowly like 200rpm at a time will it creep up past 5k or the same happen

i have something like that wit mine only mine is dying out at 3000 rpm. will yours rev up when its idle? mine only does it when driving!!it will rev up perfect when standing still. its like the turbo aint working at all
