I havnt deceived on wheels for the front yet, something that's 18" with dish. Lol. Update your thread here, your car just keeps getting better.

When I had started doing the strip down I always had a goal in my mind, If it wasnt necessary it got the bin. So one of the first things in my head to sort out was removing the HICAS and everything associated with the automatic gearbox.

So I removed the old HICAS steering rack from the car and replaced it with an S14 steering rack but straight away I encountered a problem, the pipes on the old rack ran behind the subframe, but the S14 pipes run up and over the subframe and would just look dirty and wrong, and not what I wanted to doin the way of keeping everything tidy.

I decided I would run some custom steering lines so went onto demon tweeks and priced up a load of the little pipe connectors I would need, and the price of them was absolutely ridiculous. I was looking at getting a chasebays power steering reservoir re-locator kit and then lucky enough for me k1984w ended up breaking his 180sx so I bought the chasebays kit off him.



Further on my quest to remove all the HICAS I started into the wiring loom to remove all the wires associated with the HICAS and the automatic gearbox (Iv quit smoking and I'm trying to find something to keep my mind busy).

So I removed the full interior wiring loom and started into remove all the stuff that wasnt needed. I also had to fix a load of loose wires in the centre as it looks like someone stole a radio and ripped the wires out while they were at it.

I'm also going to be removing the engine bay loom as there is quite a few chopped wires that I'm not happy about, then ill chase the loom and see what wire is what as I'm going to retrofit the fuse box from the R33 skyline into the engine bay. The reason I'm doing this is because I'm running the power cable for the battery into the boot and if I ever want to jump start the car I want to be able to do it from the engine bay.



Gonna try clean up the shed so I can get the car inside over the winter, collecting my wheels tonight so ill put the rear 5 stud hubs on the car and I'll see weather or not ill need to tub the rear arches in order to get them to fit.
