ah well whenever you get bored with it you know where to find me!... r32 is already on the road for last 4 weeks, NCT pass first go and all...back to real car as a daily FTW! just playing with finishing few niggly bits and few small parts to get and for mapping it goes![]()
Sills are actually easier done than they look, as long as you know what youre doingya shouldve just went with gti skirts instead- easy, quick, efective
Right job is the way to go alright, although it passed its last nct the way it was, shouldnt be a trouble passing it again
Got a few hours of sunshine so I had a go at sealing the AC holes in the bulkhead.
I had an old bonnet at home from a Ford Escort that I used
And there ya go, hole sealed.
I'll put some seam sealer around it and then a bit of filler to bring it flush with the bay. Hopefully it'll be painted very soon.
I'm stuck for colours in the engine bay, I had origionally wanted to spray it Midnight Purple but I think it would be a bit lost and too dark as it's a colour that needs to be seen i.e. Spray the outside of the car MNP
Then I was thinking Kawasaki Green as it's a really bright colour and really stands out.
The final colour I'm thinking is a really bright blue.
Can anyone help me out??
Got a decent amount of work done today, had a couple of pinholes in the filler so smoothed them out and got it into the shed to finish off the bay. I said I'd give the painting a go myself, it didn't turn out too bad either which is great!! I'll get the car back to my house tomorrow and finish off a few bits and then I can start putting it back together![]()
Good stuff Joey
Would ye not fire it back together whilst it's in a garage
I would but Anna-Marie's dad asked me to bring it home after it's painted cos the yard is full and he needs the extra space, he said I can bring the engine crane home. Just having the breakfast now and heading over in a few.
