Right update time I'm sorry to say I haven't had as much time to work in this due to other commitments, and as PeterT is happy to know (and Cefiro Panch is sorry to hear) the car is going go see the road again and won't be broke.

I'm replacing the rear subframe with one out of a R33 (thanks Pepsterx) so Iv wider track at the rear, the old steering rack is bolloxed and I'm removing the HICAS so I'm putting a S14 steering rack and LCA's in the car (thanks Slithertooth)

It's gonna remain a road car and I'm planning on having it out by the end of the summer. Still waiting for the right set of wheels to show up.

Since the A/C doesn't work it's coming out!! Had a few hours today to spend on the car while the sun was out. I started to remove the dash, and I managed not to break anything

Could this be this be the reason the speedo doesn't work??

Should I flock this or leave it how it is??

Yea its always a good feeling This is how the dash in my Escort turned out when i flocked it

The plan is to remove the A/C as it doesnt work anyway, block up the holes in the bulkhead and then tidy up the wires behind the dash for the radio that wont be used. There is that stupid aerial connector behind the dash, ill be ripping it out and putting in one that works. Plug and play FTW

Since the evenings are bright and all that jazz ill be able to do bits to the car in the evening time, lets all pray it doesnt rain!!

Just noticed your widening the track, not a food idea because the hubs sit very close to the arch line and you won't be able to fit wide wheels then unless you flare the door/bumper/arch!

In short, your gona kick yourself when you go to put a wheel on and the bumper is touching the tyre!

With the fine weather I got a chance to have a go at the car. I'm cleaning up the engine bay, removing the HICAS, covering the A/C holes and spraying the engine bay (had originally planed on spraying it Kawasaki green but Iv now been convinced to spray it purple)

Can't believe the weight of the a/c pump!!! I'm not dumping any of the aircon stuff tho just incase I ever plan on putting it back in.

Luckily enough the rain held off long enough for me to get the engine out, was easy enough to get out with the box still bolted on, but I did need to cut a section out of the slam panel.

And there we go, engine bay ready for cleaning

Also have longer LCA's and bigger brakes that can go on the car soon

The length of the exhaust is whopper
