Default can spray-painters chime in, please, i need some help.

this is a little thing i was working on for my brothers was supposed to be a christmas present but iv been so busy and generally unwell the last few months its dragging on

its a full size pool table, was a gift from a pub i used to work in years ago when i was younger, was going to be scrapped a few months ago as the Quote to refurb the torn cloth Professionably was unbelieveable :O a few gouges on the slate but its not cracked and all straight, but it was generally shoddy scrapped and damaged laminate on the body.

i bought cloth online, was just going to re surface it but decided to do it once and right and decided to tidy it up,

iv no expeirence in spray painting at all, but i read a few topics online, we have a compressor,so i got clewed up, bought a gravity feed gun, sandpaper thinners and paint,

    First problem:

i remade the black peice in the body of the table out of plywood,i sanded, rubbed thinners over it and i sprayed it in primer and all these weird cracks/flakes/bubbling started to form in the paint in 2 little areas, sanded it back and re primered it again but the same happened again
what would be causing this? as im at a loss with it?

    second problem:

i stripped fixed the damage and primed the body of the table

this was after one coat of 2 pac primer i blocked it back with 800 grit wet paper and gave it another coat,

i then got the black paint its 1 pac paint, mixed it 2:1 paint thinners sprayed a few peices and it just ran and didnt set right.

i then mixed it 3:1 and sprayed on a few coats, i block it back with 800 grit wet paper but its just realy rough tiny little bubbles are forming all over like feck just on the top part.

(this picture is the top of the table)

is that normal? as iv blocked it back again to take out the bubble marks and leave it as smooth as i can, and I am getting ready with the next coat and id rather see if im going wrong with something before going further

Im not a painter but to me it looks like the paint is reacting. Iv seen it on body panels that would not be 100% wiped down with panel wipe.
Have you drained your compressor ? Cud be moisture coming through in your air line

ya should have varished it man, less work involed,
spray paintingtimber doesnt work that great, ya better of getting
paint from b and q or hardware it be far quicker lad, not primer or anyting
    just lash it on

the paint taking a re action to the timber lad, i had that problem on the bonnet
so i just primed it, but being honest black paint is just as good alan

ya i figured it was reacting alright but i 100% wiped it down with Thinners on a cloth and let it dry before i sprayed it, but you are 100% right i just went out to the compressor and shook it and you can her the water sploshing inside the fucking thing LOL, ill drain it out now LOL cheers man.

whats varnish? like a stain? i had to fix the body in parts with body filler as the vaneer had come off in chunks in places so paint was the only option, i bought paint from homebase for use on cabinte doors and the likes claims that its one coat and streak free with this particular brush, bigest waste of E30 LOL took a lifetime to do one section and was full of streaks off the brush, so took it all back off to the laminate again i decided to risk spraying it. it was looking shite anyway so anything is a improvemnt

lol why did ya ring i was in sligio and all on friday, lol dont paint it with a brush, paint around the edges, paint in 3 or 4 inchs with the brush then roll the whole lot of it no marks, and paint streak free wouldnt belive that,
leave the primer on it, just paint over it, i tink that ya have so many layers on it, the 2 pac paint takeing a reaction to the lot, well ya could stain it but would ya not get lamiated timber? and stick it on?

To me that picture looks like dirt in the paint, but its hard to judge, how clean is it where your spraying it

seems like the paint re-acted with the temp, it's doesn't seem like dirt, it could be joist moisture in the air
