Gonna lash the car(32) out of it with primer to see how it yurns out, anything is better than the green
Me an a friend of mine only finished painting his vento matte black, cheap was the name of the game because he bought the car buttons so wasn worth putting a cent more then needed into it! Anyway he found that a local place to us he north dublin sold cans for 2.50 so he bought 20 cans and 3 put 3 heavy coats on with them cans a fewsw days apart, all we did was clean the car used scotch pads to ruffin up the paint then panel wipes to take the dust out and it came out grand so much so he has now went off an ordered coilovers an deep wheels for it!! job done for less then 60 quid cant go wrong!
If it has tits or tyres soon or later it's trouble!!
i got 10/12 cans as far as i remember(whatever the deal was to buy in that kind of numbers on the site) and i gave it 2 good coats and still had some cans spare!
i sanded the entire car, filled any little dings and primed the spots with filler but other than that i used no primer, just washed, degreased and dried the car and sprayed it!
if you do buy the montana paint request a selection of Wide and Narrow spraying caps! makes all the difference, the wide ones will cover a panel rapid, and the narrow ones are handy for the awkward places!
the paint itself is savage as its a proper graffiti paint so it dries quick and is very hard wearing! brilliant finish off it too! and i used a matte black car aerosol before it and the finish was BOLLOX!
the colour i used was Ultravioleta, not to everyones taste but i loved it! just needed some better wheels!
anything else ya want to know just ask or shoot me a PM incase i dont see this thread!
Shane did you use any form of lacquer after youd sprayed it or did ya just leave the finish from the cans? I think I'll try rattle can it myself and if it come out shite ill just sand it back down and get someone to do it properly! For the sake of 60 quid or so.
na mate i used no laquer at all, the finish was pretty savage straight out of the can to be fair! ya mate for the sake of 50 quid its no harm to give it a shot yourself!
i did the entire car from start to finish myself in about 3 days taking my sweet ass time!
and ya mate, that was the pack i bought!
the lads in the shop are sound out and helpful, best way to order is to call em up and do it over the phone so you can ask them to throw in some wide and skinny caps! they take Laser payment over the phone too and its pretty much next day delivery if you order early enough in the day
