Default Is a BMW 325 a good starter car

As above lads would a 325 be any good to start drifting or are they lacking power.

    Thanks in advance

I'll tell ya in 12 days when I take mine out for the first time seem to very popular in the uk, not so much over here. 170odd bhp and a fairly torquey engine means it will spin wheels, but they are heavy.. Although a good bit of weight can be stripped! Stick with small wheels and get coilovers etc and should be grand enough for some cheap fun

Cheers for the help lads so I'll keep an eye out and try and pick up something for handy enough money only want to spend 1000 really so a 325 or 328 should pop up for that. Where would I get a 4:4 diff or what they out of.

Thats all I spent on my 328, made more than half that back selling parts off it but spent it all again buying drifty parts for it

    If it's 325 go for it, but many people is selling 323i (m52b25 - 2.5 170ps) as a 325i (m50b25 - 2.5 193ps).
If it's 323i highest diff ratio is a must (can be found on cars with auto tranny, best option for 323i is a diff from automatic 4 pot).
Even 3.45 diff from 318is will do the job in 325i. Here's video of 325 with 3.45 diff, starting from 2nd gear
