    Default Project s12.................!

Right guys im not a big old skool head really but I kinda got landed with this yoke and planned on doing it after the s13 was finished....! Been waiting on parsts for the 13 and had a quite week so said Il do a bit on it but it is on the long finger....!

Plan was to just bang an sr in it and spray it and drop it on a set of 15's but as usuall i got a bit carried away with my mad ideas...! Shes 83 so kinda classic and ya don't see to many old nissans knocking about either and she's old Irish reg....!

So started off by whipping the old engine out...!

I was ready to size the engine in and make up new mounts when i said id have a look at the subframes to see how they compare....! Turned out they were pretty similar so just had to drill out a couple of holes to mount the s13 subframe...! Even the topmounts for the coilovers even fitted so I decided to go with it and run all s13 front suspension...!

    Old subframe out...!

Nwew one sized up and fitted....!

Rest of the gear bolted up....!

Ended up with a bit wider track....

So now I could use the mounts that were on the subframe so just banged it in...! Ended up pretty close to the bulk head and the box was very tight...! Took a bitta beating with the hammer....

Had to cut a new whole for the box...!

Did a bitta modding on the standered mount and she worked out nicely...!

Then joey arrived in with his new equips so I just had to try em on...! I think after this photo I may get myself a set....

So then went about welding in new mounting points fot the castor arms as the old ones were different...!

So that was the front more or less sorted now onto the rear end....

Right so hears where the fun began....! After doing a bit of searching for s12 coilovers and parts i kinda realised that there non exsitant...! I was after buying a full s13 donar car with a few bits on it coilovers running gear exausts ect so I had all the gear there to bang a s13 rear end in it...! Turned out a lot harder than the front with everything being different...! So kinda the same job as putting 1 in a twincam...!

So i sized it up and did involve a bitta cutting even cutting the chasis in a couple of places...! Even the turrets were completly different so would have to make up new ones...! My motto is "fuck it go for it" so thats exactly what i did...! I get enjoyment outta hardship and i don't think anythings fun if its easy....

Pic of the old setup in the car...!

    And out on the ground...!

    Sized it up...!

    And started cutting....

Bent a couple of pieces up to patch back in...!

Made up new mounts for the front section...!

    And welded the bolt in...!

Made up the rear ones also...!

After a shitload of mesuring i welded them in...!

So went about cutting the old turrets out and cut the ones out of the donar car and try use em....! I think its gonna work but its all trial and error....!

    Test fit...!

Cut the rest out and just tacked them in for the muinte....! Still a bit unsure about this...!

Bolted all my subrframe and arms up...! The 13 cambe arm woundn't work with the angle of the coilover so used s14 ones...! Its as far as I am but it all looks ok so far...!

Wheels on 2mor and hope 4 the best..... And yes serious overkill for a road car I know..... :P
