    Default my 200sx s14a

ok said id throw up a few pics and a quick spec of my 14a and a few ideas i have for it over the winter...

    spec list:
    apex coilovers
    apex fmic
apex downpipe, decat and cat back 3"
    pipercross filter
    orc paddle clutch
    nismo 2 way
    apexi avcr
    battery relocated to boot
    azev type a 17" alloys

first thing i done was put the battery in the boot as it was in the way of the washer bottle

i got a folder full of service history and reciepts for everything even bulbs and wiper blades.
the folder also had dyno print outs from when the car was in england after getting all the parts fitted and then dynod again after the boost controller was fitted.

with front mount, air filter, exhaust fitted and paddle clutch 264.3 bhp

after apexi avcr was fitted and turned up to 1.2 bar just for the dyno it got 304.4 bhp

all i want to do over the winter is polybush the subframe as 1 of the bushs is in bits and need to change the coilovers there way to hard for me and one of the back ones is leaking and knockin badly.

cheers let me know what ye think.....

Looks like a good base for a project

I have a UK spec S14 too and i'm in the middle of rebushing the subframe.
I've changed every other bush i can for poly versions and it makes a big difference IMO.

Give it a clean and a lick of underseal underneath while the subframe is off if you suffer from uk spec rust paranoia like i do

    Good luck with it!

the car is alreaddy undersealed. and there was a patch of rust on the sil that was cut out and new piece welded in and undersealed then.
is it hard to get the old bushes out of the subframe?
where did u buy the polybushes pricey?

Im only prepping the subframe at the moment but i'm going to drill out most of the old bushes with a hole saw and burn the remaining rubber with a blow torch, it's seems to be the most popular way.

I've got rose jointed alignment arms so there's a only a few poly bushes left, i got them mostly from driftworks but only a few at a time so it seemed cheap enough

Getting rid of the worn old bushes, fitting decent coilovers and anti roll bars transformed my car.

I changed to Whiteline front and rear ARBs which came with new links and poly bushes.
It means the bars do the job of stopping body roll so you can set the coilovers nice and soft so it's not hopping down the road.

AFAIK lots of drift cars dont use both roll bars but I've found it a great and cheap-ish mod for a road car.
