why cant they do something like that over here ??
they so should it would be unreal
The prob with this is driftin is not as
Popular or as well known as rallying every
Time a meet wit guards or county council
When a say driftin all they think of is prats
Diffin . Am tryin ta set a road event up at the
Minute guards don't want it insurance company
Laughed at the thought of it council point blank
Refused to give a road closure order but fuck em
A jus torture the life out of them till we get something
Up and going . Gonna go back to them after Xmas
With a different angle a have a rally organiser gonna
Help me out so hopefully we have a road event in the
Near future will post any progress
Driftfest will be holding an event sometime next year all going to plan![]()
for a start we dont have roads good enough for somthing like this + the country is run by a shower of cunts only intrested in lining there own and there freinds pockets and only intrested in shafting the likes of us as much as they can why would they help us out just look at all the tracks county councils have closed all over the country

there is lots roads like this in kerry kilarney like this sure no one use them at all 2 cars passing all day ... but the think is ...if u can see there will be no spectacors paying. . .in ireland they only want good cash for events
ive often thought the same... plenty of good roads to do it on..
but if you notice that event is being held in a town so i cant see it being any different than the donegal or galway rally.. spectators dont have to buy tickets but instead spend loads of money directly into the local economy in shops, hotels, burger vans, pubs and other stalls selling drift tat like t-shirts, flags, hats etc... so its not just the organisers that make money everyone does..
if we were only able to setup an authority separate from the motor club that runs the rallies to govern and regulate our sport so it may be legitimately recognised as a motoring discipline then we would be able to approach a local town council about holding a touge event and actually be taken seriously...
