    well technically it would work out a better system as you can vary the assist with a controller

    also it takes a load off the engine as you dont need a belt running a pump, altho it does put an extra draw on the altenator

    and no fluid to leak

    Cheers Darren, I'll jus fit it to my dads mk1 escort instead then.
    What power steering are you gonna go for? I think the ae86 power steering rack has more turns lock to lock than a manual ae86 one, I'd need to check tho, and I'm not sure if a quick rack can be fitted to the power assisted one either but would need to look at the differences.

    The ae86 manula rack has more teeth in it so thats what is better for drifting

    Quick rack isnt really ideal as it has no extra teeth machined in it so you cannot spacer the tie rods

    We are going to use mr2 power steering pump on this now

    yeah i heard them rotarys hadn't fuck all power.....cant even drive a power steering pump

    how ever if all fails,you could probably use a draft valve (like on a tractors lift system) to control the hydraulic system.......????

    haha you'll see the power in mondello ill leave you make your own mind up

    we should have it sorted now with the system we are using

    Got the new electro fluid pump and reservoir mounted



    Also fitted the electric water pump in the rear next to the rad
