    Default Engine Won't Stay Running

Right its always a bitter sweet with cars, went out to collect the Altezza, she was brought out with a battery on its last legs but was running perfect, no issues what so ever. 9 weeks later went to collect her, jump started car however she wont tick over on idle, in order to keep it running I have to feather the throttle at different positions. If I hold the accelerator down even 50% she won't run at a constant rpm, it will just die, the engine management light has come on in the dash however with the conversion I dunno if this even applies with the looms being spliced.

Checked all the pipes and there was a split in one going from under the throttle body to the intercooler piping, replaced it, made no difference, she has fuel, connected up to another battery via jump leads, oil and water are spot on...

Also now there is a rattle coming from the gearbox which seems to be getting louder since I started it yesterday, however when I depress the clutch the noise fades rapidly to nothing at all or when I select a gear and drive its gone also...

Dropped it out to a mate who is a mechanic and fairly spot on and he doesn't know whats wrong with it, the engine is running, firing and no strange or unusual noises are coming from her bar the above, any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. The engine is from an early S14 and she is running an Apexi Power FC since day one.

Put in a new battery, never mind jump leads just put in a new battery. As for gearbox, maybe clutch release bearing?

Was thinking the bearing alright... Fitting a new battery wouldn't explain the engine management light thou and surely if started it would run no ?

Gearbox noise sounds like a release bearing.. Shouldnt effect the car mechanically.. Might just get a bit louder on idle but will go away once you press the clutch.. Cant help with the other problem..

FIND AND LIKE THE DRIFT SHED PAGE ON FACEBOOK.. THANKS !!

Pretty much ya, Greddy T517Z turbo, Japspeed Manifold, Z32, 460cc Injectors, GTR Fuel Pump, Alloy Rad and Intercooler, nothing internal, no cams or forged anything, engine has always pulled good and strong...

See if the Power FC is still set to having a Z32 fitted on the commander, if not then there is a chance it has lost its map.
