cheers for the comments ppl and support. Had a bit of a chat and stuff with the lads last night. Gonna take it to fermoy. It may blow up going onto the trailer, or on the start line, or give me just enough to do a lap or even the whole weekend, who knows. But if its fecked its fecked anyway so what difference does it really make. Looking like it either ran out of oil or had oil starvation and fucked up one of the cams. Cant really tell for sure without taking it apart of course and theres no time for that. It will sound pretty horrible, and who knows if it'll be making full or no power till I drive it. But if I could even just get one good run it may bring a bit of hope or that back to me.
As for sr20s. Well as this thread has clearly shown I'm an idiot. I said before that if I did change engines I'd have to go for a 13b........couldnt be much worse I suppose lol. Smarter choice would probably be to properly upgrade the internals of the engine. Strangely enough with all the problems and issues I'd had, its never really been the fact its turboed or the power figures that have necessarily caused them. Which makes it all the more frustrating actually..
Anyway thanks for the support, and I'll hold off on judgement till Monday atleast..
Gud man it wud b a sad day to see this car broke and if u did put a 13b in at least u could re the turbo conversion and make sum mny back
