you need to remove the spring for god sake yours must of been missing or broke
Do you find the standard handbrake does the job with one of these when drifting lads?
Would they be worth a try for a less than amateur shit pilot like me at a drift day Ste? I'd love a hydraulic one but i could doing with getting the guts to go to one of the amateur days in the first place![]()
get your ass out on track and see how you get one before spending money on parts.
the cost of a hydrowand would cover a drift day, 2 up in nutts!
have a go with the car set up as it is, chances are you will spin alot, thats just means your trying.
i know its a cleche at this stage but its really all about seat time!
At the min for suspension i have Eibach springs and KYB shocks, with Whiteline adjustable arbs, Cusco front strut brace and rear Apex locking collars. She's pretty solid around bends but easy on yer back for the shite roads around here. Standard clutch and LSD atm though, do ya reckon they'll be alright for one of the days?
sound like a good set up alright.
is the diff1.5 way?
it also comes down to how you want to drift too. some people dont use the wand and just power over in the turn but for an early drift the wand is used to scub off speed.
id say the standard handbreak is fine for just a few drift days every now and then as long as it locks the wheels some what
Standard .6way diffI'd give the handbrake initiation a go, it seems to be the way most of the lads on here do it. I think the power over method takes talent, i think i'd be think about the expensive of fixin it if i went all out using that method. Even though i'm not to pushed about havin dented panels for a couple of months
I'd just like to give it a go anyways, seems like more craic than belt out doin a million mph on a race track, Nutts is a bit of a trek to go but i'd do it! My friend has an ae86 and he wasnts ta have a go too
