Cool so, i've heard good things about them alright as I said and I did my research on both intercoolers.

However, for my build i'm going to try stay japo on the parts were I can, just the way I want my car built.
Its my first build and I am fairly new to the drifting scene, hence my post on trying to get some info/feedback on the Greddy intercooler. I thought the price I paid for branded intercooler wasn't bad compared to some of prices on there other gear.

I don't want to be buying imitation crap off or ebay etc. Ebay intercoolers may be good and do there job without hassle, like the autobahn88 or the Godspeed, but I know from buying stuff of ebay for years that most of the stuff is imitation crap! They look nice in the photos but its cheaply manufactured and basically shit.

So, maybe if I picked up an autobahn88 instead of Greddy, which does the same jobby well, I would I have saved a few quid, but you learn as you go

i dunno anything about autobahn 88 or similar really as ive never used one but ive often heard alot of lads complaing about them , like pipes blown off because of bad clips , and have to be replaced by new ones as peter said ...

other things i heard and seen the rubbers go frail after a while , an break causing boost leaks... an the pipes dont have the flange on the end also allowing the joiners to blow off...
dunno jus heard a few lads complain bout them an seen a few lads out in the pissin rain tryin to fix them in the nite after blown off ... wouldn do if tryin to get away from the law lol......

That's why u shouldn't comment on these things until you've had first hand experience! Pipes have the little lip on them so don't blow off, hoses have the thread inside them so are flexible and don't burst, and i havnt actualy changed the clips, just they bend a bit on tightening, as with 90% jubilee clips if imagine!

many a time i seen lads fixin them because they hav blown off , an lads get pissed off fixin them..
maybe there an older type one or may not be autobahn but some of the cheaper ones dont come with the flared ends......... which is a waste of time..
like anything if lads have something and complain about it and say there not happy with it , i wouldnt go and buy one.
and ye all seem happy with ye're ones and have no problems so thats the main thing...
still think he was right to pay the extra bit for the greddy one...better quality , and it will stand if he ever sells the car to have top quality parts....
