I'll jump on the wagon too and just confirm what nicko said. I saw when someone posted results with oem and aftermarket bearings.
The difference was that the oem bearings were wearing gradually. The a/m ones were delaminating (the cheaper, the worse).
I've had limited experience with rebuilds (just did a couple) but it's a FACT that production tolerances for oem are much tighter. I had scandalous example once where the shaft wouldn't spin FFS. Either grind was shit or bearings shit, I only know that I was 300 euro short and it did spin in new bearings.
Hats off guys for taking the risk and entering a minefield of engine rebuilding.
