any type of plastic or soft barrier simply doesnt work

first car to hit them destroys them and you would spend all day replacing them and people like denis healy would just be destroying them for fun

so soft barriers wouls end up with too many delays for spectators and too much cost for pd to keep replacing

a solid barrier is the only way, it makes things exciting for spectators and makes you a more precise driver

Citywest was exactly how things should be done, great job by the organisers and judges

i think the barriers make it way more exciting for spectators.takes a lot of balls putting the rear of your car that close to a steel barrier.one thing i would say is maybe rivet sheet metal onto it so that the car doesnt catch on the barriers.then it would rub the wall and just skim off it

    aaaaaaaaa

Hmm, id prefer a little less seat time when there being put back rather than going home with my car in a card board box

Also, the ones im talking about are the type that dont break, water or stone filled.

i yhink they shud stay its part of the fun as iv said before if you are afraid to hit ur car leave it at home!! the only thing that i would change would be try and get barriers with flat points to rub so that mhen we rub them they rub along flat insted of the way the ones now do iv got a hole ripped in my quater from the upright part

Thats exactly what I was saying on the day, those ones at citywest were like a cheese grater for every car, if it was a solid surface it wouldnt be half as bad doing damage to the cars

Maybe....but the fans would rather see more cars run than marshalls cleaning up the track and its all about the fans

Plastic will break and then you'll have stones or water all over the track, you'll def be going home in a cardboard box if your the next driver to run then
