Thanks lad. thought after the second run the day i'd be puttin the car on the tralier, over boostin and took forever to find the problem.. when we did she went good. thanks to all was a good day bar the rain, so much for worrying about the wanker tanker LOL:D:D
thanks to all organisers off this event, esp in yest weather, had fantastic day, prob 1 off the best days driftin :)
had a great days craic in aghadowey, had to leave at 1.30 but got more than enough seat time, big thankyou to the organisers i'll definatly be back next year.
I hope you all have dried out from yesterday. Big Big thanks to the Staff, Marshals and judges who braved the rain and helped make the day the success it was. Well done to Greg Daly on winning the competition. Great 2nd Place dylan Harte and of course everyones favourite V8 Neil Henry on coming 3rd. But the overall result was the success of the day itself with smiles all round even though the conditions were far from perfect (rain and more rain). One driver actually clocked 77 miles of track time, which is 77 laps of the course. Proper competition, Loads of track time what more could you want. 100% PROOF Drifting. Gary.:)
glad to hear this went well must take on the long journey up myself the nxt time round
Cheers to everyone involved, good to have Aghadowey back for drifting.
Had another class day yesterday, loved the bottom corner in the wet :D
Wheel bearing went before the competition, though still got plenty of track time.

great 1st day for me up in aghadowey plenty of track time, missed out in the competition as the release bearing collapsed due to too much 3rd gear down the straight after that dodge of a corner :). looking forward to the next run,
Had an amazing time at Aghadowey on Saturday, my very first time on track, really enjoyed myself and have been bitten by the bug. Was amazing taking second place in the competition, was shitting myself when doing twin drifts andwas pretty much shaking with nerves lol
Thanks to Gary and the crew for putting together such a good event, really cannot wait until the next one.
A few of my friends have pictures & video's to come very soon, will post the links once they are done, here is a quick snap of my car from the day :D

lol, yea from what i seen alot of the guys who wer gud all day pushed a little to hard and spun in the comp putting them out. tho IMO there shud have been a cuple of "one more time" runs as they were very close to call.
agreed but judges done a good job! and cheers for the lift back to the pits aswell harry! get that car sorted for eglinton

dont have facebook aaahhhh
im trying me best just all depends need to get sum parts sorted dis week !!
Just been chating to afew driver's there in the last few days, and we were talking about what people got for 1st 2nd and 3rd place in the comp.. I know it was only for a laugh on saturday, but for next year it should be that if you finish in the top 3 you should get sumthing back...
trophies 1st 2nd 3rd
free entry
Sumthing along them lines, im only giving feedback here to help the event for next year. The bit of the track that was been used to score is perfect and works well as people can see all the action..
agreed was def a good section to use, maybe start the comp a bit earlier aswell?
Totally agree. Saturdays Competition was us dipping or toes in the water (Literally) . The competition was a late addition. But we had to be sure that it would run properly. Now we have the formula set in place we will progress with proper prizes etc. Thanks for the feedback and we would encourage feedback positive or negative. Remember this is your day, You pay your money. This is 100% drifting for 100% Drifters.:)
Keep drifting fun some take it too
Serious dunno bout anyone else but
A have as much fun in the wet as the
Dry am only ever drifting cause a
Enjoy the laid back atmosphere and
Havin the days Craic and that's why
A loved aghadowey.a run my own event
How a like them to be run so the drivers
Enjoy the day without gettin too
caught up in comps And trying to run the
Days to a time schedule
@m3con
i know exactly what your saying and where your coming from, competition can be a bit off putting for some esp if they have never done it before but i think if you add all the factors together from the last event i think the comp was a success and added to the day. for the first time to run it and have so many drivers i think shows that there is room for it in aghadowey, and i would say that 50% of the drivers that took part in the comp were never involved in one before.
its a dangerous thing to get into, lol one min your tryin to keep things cheap and fun, next min you know your spending thousands and in full comp mode....STRESS
but then again its down to the individual, for me full competition is fun, yes its stressful at times but then when you are in the middle of it its hard to beat the buzz. for me a structured day is what makes it interesting, ie a few practice laps, qualifying, briefings, battles etc and to be honest i rarely take the car out now unless its a competition because to me practice (as good as it is) i get bored rather quick, esp if its wet.
