ca are just not that relyable realy. had a few of them. mad for bottom ends and turbos. then on the other hand if u threw a set of acl race bearings and baffled sump and a stronger turbo there a grand yoke. u would hear of lads getting big power and been reliable but then they spends 1000s getting that!
the sr is nearly always going to start and drive without to much trouble. no timing belts to be changing, better sump set up. weld the diff and keep her full of oil and away u go lad!;)
o i woudnt go pass them great oul engine they are lad bullet proof....
nah reli wat planet are you living on lad???????
Ok firstly i meant 1 grand was just in a hurry goin trainin an oviously id go over a grand for a good one but theres a lot of stuff goin cheap lately an was lookin for advice not a pisstake on how much i said id spend ...!
What do you mean what planet am i on????
very old discussion ca or sr
ca can be good engines if you will look after them and of course they are older than sr. sr(turbo) have bigger selection of aftermarket parts. but between sr non turbo or ca i would go for ca defo
having experience with a ca myself, i would definitely say a ca is the way forward. plenty of poke out of them and well able to be very reliable with a few simple mods. They are a great engine and well capable of 300bhp with minor mods.
SR all the way. A far far superior engine to a CA
just a note for those who can't read the thread....
he's comparing a N/A SR to a turbo CA
stop fucking joking a CA is far better than a N/A SR
