Athboy Karting Drift
Went up to this with a good few mates last weekend and wasnt expecting much being honest.
But i'll let the videos do the talking.
My dx was only driven up the road after finishing it and loaded on the trailer.
I did not have time to setup carbs, fuel or timing and the engine wasnt even broken in.
Steering was fully re-done the night before where i had to make the coloum from scratch nearly again as iv put the steering rack in it.
But was very pleased by the end of the day.
Each time i went out i was able to adjust the carbs and fuel to suit my driving and the engine of course and at the start of the day when we got there it wouldnt even go round the cone, by the end i was able to pull second gear standing on the spot.
vids.
1st start.

Not bad for a standard internal engine 16v hightorq

used to kart up there years ago track is big enough for drifting (just)
how much was the day
-
tight track alright especially at the back straight but at practice its better as you have no choice but to take the right line or your off.
50euro for the day drifting and king of the ring.
ALOT cheaper that other places that was on the same day and no messing with passangers all day once ya had a helmet out ya went.
Will definetly be back as it was perfect for setting up the corolla for a 1st outting!:D

Was out the day before and half tempted to bring the car down but i thought it was just a burn out session, any word of the next day
-
didnt know about the king of the ring until we got there.
havnt a clue when its on again.
dont know if its next year again with the short evenings.
