Should really up date this, been away and been mental busy at work dont get time to log in much !! Any way car has served me well over the last two events hasnt let me down yet ,touch wood ! did a competition up in derry for charity with brendan and bart there a while back got to top 32 and knocked out then by gordon clifford after 3 one more times ,was great fun to say the least made shite of the new bumpers at the same time ha !

Then did round 5 finished up in qualifying in 5th ,yea 5 th dont ask how i managed that one ha ha ha got put up against a steady sam farrell and made the school boy error of bein a hero when i had it in the bag ha !anyway really enjoyed it to the max ,thanks to all for the help that day !,turned out it wasnt all bad and took 2nd in amateur qualifying :cool::cool:

2012 bring it on :):) ............... Big thanks this year of my bit of competitive skidn to brendan stone and mark gaffney both especially !!

Otaayyyy bit over due so been getting the car ready for next year to get a full season in ,so far have put in rear solid subframe bushings , added a bit more lock not much just a tad also got the ackerman sorted and car re-setup ,aswell as having a problem with alot of oil being thrown up into the oil catch can due to having the catch can plumbed arse ways i got that looked at but still seem to be having the same problem but not as bad so were trying to eliminate that problem at the moment .......... thanks to john for the work there !!

Also bought a new exhaust system for the car as the last one was wayy to quiet and restrictive as it had two mufflers in it aong the section .....pics up when i have it on .......

Degreased the underside of the car and priming up any surface rust parts here and there .........engine bay also getting a power wash to help detect any leaks down the line as it was covered in oil from the catch tank problem and just a general tidy up as it was gettin a bit neglected .......... i know im goin all ste brady .... :cool: ..............

Also gonna get a bumper bar fitted before were all back out for 2012 seems like an investment , regards mashing up everything else ha ! other than all that just been getting some practise in the last while and having fun !!!

Thanks everyone !! car runnin A1 now, due to the new breather set up from tdp which includes 26 rockers and a custom gtr catch tank !,had a good lash down in WGH the last day so all seems good !!............. maybe new bumpers fresh for next year and thatl be me ready to go :D ................. Did a bit of work on the ''look's '' side of things to the car over the last few weeks first was a set of canards ill put up a bit of a 'how to' here for the dudes that might want to know ! :D

Masked off both sides of the bumper like so !and draw freehand the size u want

Then i used a piece of cardboard to help with getting the shape of the bumper and making the canard sit tight as it bends ,dips, and changes angle with this particular bumper ,so it aint easy to get spot on and flush.....and also to get the right flow of the ''s'' of the canard (up to u how long ya want it )........when u bend the cardoard to the right ''s'' tape it to the bumper and then layer the cardboard with masking tape to hold the shape :D

Now just free hand draw on the cardboard the type of teardrop you want like this and cut it wit a blade to leave it like this :)

Then take off your ''cardboard'' canard thatl be bent to shape and cut a piece of alluminuim and bend it over your knee or watever to get the same bend

Then cut out the canard shape using the cardboard canard...

Now yer pretty much done and of course it probably wont be perfect so just keep a 4'' sander close by keep triming it down till ya get it right make 2 little brackets and wal -A ! :D

So tried losin a bit of weight from the car over the last few days........took all the remaining glass windows out , then cut out the rear parcel shelf . Then went at all the inner skins of the rear quarters and roof legs aswell as that we cut the skins off the boot ,dammm that boot had some weight in it .....next is to get the polycarbonate windows cut and put in ......was gona go do the boot floor but after some advice, decided not........

Good stuff man. Wondering about where you cut out the inside quarters and up the roof legs as well, was thinking about doing it but unsure of whether it is providing any structural support?

There prob a reason you haven't i'm sure, but if ya put the boot on pins it will remove good bit of weight, the swing arm assembly for the boot holds a good bit of weight too.

Never thought about cutting the boot skin, is there much weight in it man?

Sooooo after four years of alota love the owl 20 box gave up the ghost ! Mystery to how it lasted that long ha !.... So went ahead and picked up a 25 box on the way home that day , made up mounts yesterday and fitted box collecting the new prop tomorrow and then should be all ready for the start of the year :D............

So round wan came and went ,nearly had a stroke the week before but arrived with the car perfect in the end ,until I got there when meself nd Adrian ended up underneath it again got that sorted sharpish carrier bearin upside down easy fix,qualified 6th or so ,and got to top 16 and knocked out by hickey in a fun battle :-)........

Well not much to be said here competing away trying my best ,new turbo setup now so coming to grips with that and trying to make it work another trip to rathnew next week for a tweak to try improve the spool :) ,sure well see what happens ha !...... Next up is tullyroan then off the next morning to Vegas with Adrian nick quealy and mark keano to watch fd and get drunk with hot bitches loladrift !!!!! Sorry man i threw it out ,you would of been better off making a new one anyway it wasnt in great nick (difficult to get at the nuts on downpipe to Ex.housing due to a crappy fit )........best of luck with it tho should have nice giddy up on a 25.
