Some of you may have been following this build on Facebook but I'v been meaning to post it up here too!

This is Gary Mahony's S14, which we fully rebuilt during 2012 with alot of changes.. The development and
improvements are on-going with this car as with the sport itself, and we use this car to show our capabilities and
craftsmanship at Drift Innovation Motorsport. (www.facebook.com/dimotorsport)

spray my own car for a long time and mixed with the Purple interior Gary wanted, it looks
very well in the flesh! Big shout out to Mark at MG Crash Repairs for the amazing job!

Savage build there lads! alot of thought gone into it. i dont know if a would if used perspex though as it goes dull and yellow and its a bit harder to shape/form. Theres a crowd in walksintown goldstarplastic.ie that do poly carbonite sheets cut to suit very cheap, about €150 a car. just in case ya wanted to use it in future. best of luck with DI motorsport

My bad, it is actually polycarbonate from Grp4 Fabrications that we used!
I keep calling it Perspex! But €150 for a full set sounds very good!

Quick Update!

I had my first competition in a good while last weekend at DriftFest Fermoy,
and we collected a few bits to make the car a bit more 'Manly'!

New Front Bumper, unfortunately we couldnt get an Origin to replace the one
originally fitted to the car so a Uras will do for now!

We also got a Rocket Bunny Rear Wing and got both painted and fitted for the event..
Still waiting to decided on a colour for the wheels, then the car will be almost
finished in terms of 'Looks'!

http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/m495/JayRockett/Me%20Drifting/DriftFestFermoy5.jpg

I qualified 10th overall placing me in the Pro Class!
Here's my Top 16 battle against Sam Farrell.. My biggest worry of the
weekend was going against a slow car as our S14 has a huge amount of grip
and slowing the car down was going to be tricky, despite doing everything
we could to try get rid of rear end grip, it was still too grippy and i straightened
handing the win to Sam who drove a brilliant lead and chase run!

http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/m495/JayRockett/Me%20Drifting/JackJamieFermoyOct14th2012336.jpg

All in all i'm delighted with the weekend, the level of grip is something i havnt
experienced before and i'm happy that what i'v learned in my time off
competing is working! I also found the gear ratio's of the RB25 gearbox to be
completely unsuitable with a 4.1 diff, so i'll be changing something there soon!

Few more action shots!

Why not purple for the wheels to match the interior ?

Thanks dude!

We had debated over purple for the wheels but we think it'd be too dark and dark wheels dont work against the grey when the car is on track, moving etc!

Kinda thinking it should be a slightly brighter colour, i'm looking at a mixture of light bronze/dark gold and get a pair of XXR 527's for the front to match the rear!
