The colour is "Subaru Gracious Brown" Nikki. Its the nicest bronze colour I've seen that you can buy in a motor factor/ paint shop imo

Resprayed my intercooler piping satin black and have a few wee bits to sort to have her ready for the next drift day at the end of the month.

Don't worry about it, we're all amateurs and the way we've it set up is there's a smaller track for beginners and and then a bigger track for more experienced. Both tracks are a lot of fun though and you'll have a blast. The pictures of mine a few posts back is from the smaller track. Its a great days craic with plenty of people there for support and tips etc. Plenty of lads will sit on with ya and try to give you advice if you want as well.
Just tryin to get tyres sorted now lol!
Just spent yesterday gettin this sorted for the upcoming drift day.
My seat rail broke so whipped it out and welded it up. Fitted new exhaust gaskets as it was blowing and then fitted the rear cusco strut bar.
Have a load of tyrss coming this week and that'll be me sorted then!

Supposedly with the hero2 920 give a clearer image of what s going on strait infront of the camera rather than at such a wide angle, may work out better for in car cams.
Cheers i'll try that. I must get an external display for it too so i can see how it looks at the time rather than when i get home ha!
Thought i may update this as its been a while.
I had the intention of using the car as a track car as the nct had ran out but the longer the car sat there the more of a waste it was for me. I've been driving a wee ef civic the last couple of montha that ive tidied up and tested and although its a great wee car and i cant fault it I just miss the power and presence of the silvia so im going to sell the civic and put the silvia back on the road.

Theres a few things i'm gonna do to the 14 that have always annoyed me. I've bought a flush bootlid as the one on the car has holes in it from a bgw and also a new set of rust free doors because whoever fitted the skirts originally didnt do it right and the bottom of the doors have been rubbing on them causin the doors to rust at the bottom over time so gonna replace them and put the skirts on right or get a new set of skirts that are a bit more subtle.
I also have a set of driftworks subframe locking collars to fit, a hydro and an apexi afc.
Thats the plans anyway :hmmm)
Picked up a HKS Hi-Power exhaust system yesterday and a flush black bootlid and some other bits and bobs thanks to nikkisxxsxsd69694349090 and juice.

Another couple of parts arrived this evening, A new 3 inch stainless downpipe and decat. Not far from having it ready for testing now. Just need to wire in a horn and fit the exhaust and cat and it should be sorted. Just waiting to sell the civic now before I bother taxing the silvia.

Spent today tidying up the interior after the last few drift days as it was bogging and I mounted my oil filter relocator kit properly.

Also fitted the hks hi power exhaust, love the note of it and a good bit quieter than my old one.

Next job is to fit a horn for nct and give the exterior a good cleaning up and get it tested so I can put the coilies back in!!
So quick update on how im getting on, the car failed the nct on a few minor things...for some reason he took a disliking toy front bumper and how it was attacthed with only two cable tiesll
Passed emissions though so thats the main thing..everything else can be sorted handy enough
Because I have to fit the bumper right i've decided i'm gonna remove the kit and repair it and fit different skirts.

By the time im finished the car might be destined for a full respray

Bit of an update to whats happening now, since the car failed the nct and I managed to get a lend of a runaround for a couple of months im gonna do a bit of a total overhaul on this.
Plans are:
Rocket Bunny Spoiler
Origin Roof Spoiler
Nismo Bonnet Vent
Fit the driftworks braided lines
Fit the driftworks subframe locking collars
Fit the apexi AFC2
Full underseal
New Skirts
Repair and Refit properly the full kit
And more than likely a full respray (unsure on colour at the minute, thinking white or midnight purple)
I inteneded to underseal the car first but while I was under it I found a couple of little patches of rust that I wasn't happy with and thought I'd get it repaired properly if i'm going to underseal it so the car is over getting them done at the minute. Once it's back I will be going at that and doing it right.
I have never done any bodywork before so I decided i'd give it a go on the bodykit as its mainly cable ties i'm used to working with.
I started off on the rear bumper.

At the minute I have both skirts repaired and filled ready for primer I just have no pics of them done.
The front bumper was in a sorry state and needed to be rebuilt so I gave that to a mate who works at fibreglassing to do it for me and try to get it in one piece. Just got it back to me today all done, fully reinforced ready for filler and sanding!

They're bolted to the eye bolts are for the seat belts in the rear. i have the seats removed in the back

Smalll update but it makes me happy! Im finally done treating the underside of the car, after a lot of wire brushing to remove surface rust and dirt I waxoyled it to prevent any future rusting. Ita now like new again. So i finished that and fitted a set of driftworks braided lines all round and my apex coilovers. Next up is more bodywork!

Well I did take my time doing it because I wanted it done right without having to worry about rust again. A lot of time wire brushing and grinding back surface rust and then treating it with deox gel (4 or 5 times) then when there 2as no sign of any rust coating it with a zinc primer and then waxoyling it to seal it. Definately worth doing

Have the body sanded down now, fitted a set of white face clocks with hud connections(will be got at some stage). Fitted a set of kouki rear lights and finally got the car back on the groumd and outta the garage so i can finish the work on the kit!

Finished the work on the sideskirts and rear bumper and gave them a coat of primer

looking good man, i dont know of anything that would suit it better than the enkei's, but get what ever wheels ya want before ya paint it incase ya need to role your arches and risk cracking a new paint job,
Also with the nismo vent, alot of people bond them to the Steel bonnets, looks neat, but have herd of people closing the bonnet and the where the fiberglass meets the bonnet will start cracking, so if you need to bond it on try and get a ordinary fiberglass bonnet and Fiberglass it to that might be better, or just rivit it on, looks a bit rough but quick and simple.

Yeah i know what you mean but i just think that 14's really need 18s to do it right. I intend to get a set of something wide and dishy and although i've already rolled the arches i want to make sure I get the wheels now in case I need to get overfenders before paint.
I read a lot about them vents cracking alright, i'd say i'll just rivet/rivnut it on the same as the spoiler... just have to put tyres on all the wheels this week and see if anyone wants to buy them! :o

These are the wings I told you about Pete, they were actually meant for your car. Previous owner had them for it!
Have no major updates but as most of you know from facebook Aidan Hogan from Aidan H Photography (https://www.facebook.com/AidanHPhotography?group_id=0)wanted to get a few snaps of the car before it undergoes its facelift and this is what we got. More on his facebook page including a new shoot with a Gt86 and an Ae86.
The only update I have is that i've put a deposit on a set of wheels that should set the car off so as soon as my wheels get lifted i'll be heading to get them, all i'l say now is there proper jdm wheels in 18x10 +15 so with my 35mm spacers overs will be required ;)

Sizings above petal, nothin too serious but i have 35mm spacers on at the minute. Im puttin 25mm vented wings on tomorrow and i'll figure out then what i want to do...I'll make them fit either way!
So got the wheels fitted today, i removed the rear spacers but im thinking im going to put overfenders on before i paint it and put the spacers back in then.
Very happy with how it looks, few small adjustments to make and i'll be happy, let me know what ya's think!

love it :) one thing i can guarenttee you 100% them wheels will look better without the centercaps, they are awsome wheels, but the way the centercap sticks out dont With With right With me :/ or replaced With some regualar centercaps i just dont like them ones :/

I've thought about and decided I'm not going to put on rear overfenders, still not sure if ill fit spacers and pull the rears a bit more. I have a dmax roof spoiler to go on and fit the 7 point cusco cage next and I need to get another bonnet to work on with the nismo vent before painting...its getting there .. funds are the only thing slowing it down at this stage... h

Test fitted the cage yesterday, just have to bolt it in place now, ill stick up a few pics in a while.
Got another few bits done today.
Fitted the 7 point cusco cage and now have it bolted in place with the help of dori88 and have kept the rear plastics and seats etc in . These pics were taken when I had it in place for marking the points for fitting.

Me too Simon, still have the dmax roof spoiler to go on and then it should be more or less ready for paint when the funds allow!
Fitted the bonnet there this evening, will get a pic up in the daylight tomorrow... can't wait to paint the car now!

Did a bit of bodywork on the rear arches yesterday..still tempted to get 30mm quarters to get a bit wider in the rear to match the fronts beefyness

A little bit wider again.....
So i picked up a set of 30mm rear overs as i felt the front of the car was a bit too fat for the rear. I never liked the bulky 50mm overs so i went with 30s and this is a few pics after test fitting them.
The original metal arches are sitting on top of the tyre in these pics so the car is not sitting as low as it normally is so i'll be rolling and cutting them when I fit the overs properly. Also will be adjusting the front height when get smaller tires to sit a bit lower and fit my defis...

Thanks lads, i was never a big fan of full matte cars but i love the finish on this particular paint and think it will lopk the part. Just have to paint the front bumper now and put it all back together again before saturday....fingers crossed!

Had some bad news today so can't make it to japfest this weekend, really gutted but i'll get down again for the craic.
Would have had the car finished today and ready otherwise but here's a couple of pics of how its sitting now. 99% done, just need to fit wind visors, roof spoiler and rear bumper.
Done most of the work myself but want to thank the rest of the zero7four crew for helping me out when they could... this is a temporary paint job and more of a refresh as the bumpers were getting tatty

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product
So I have the extrerior more or less complete now, just have to fit the dmax roof spoiler.
Have a load of new parts to install and a few bits i want to do in the near future.
Have a brand new intercooler and piping, new alloy rad and full set of defis to install. Gonna paint the rollcage gloss white too but i'm in the middle of buying a house so that'll all be done when i get moved into the new garage :azn:

Have been slow getting anything done on this lately, had been driving it daily until the chain tensioner collapsed, i had just bought a house (with garage) and i have a pile of new parts and ideas i want to do all it the one time and because getting a home for my family sorted by christmas was priority i bought a cheap runaround for a couple of hundred quid.
I decided this was the most sensible idea and made it handy for lugging crap about from builders merchants etc rather than using a silvia ha
So now I've the house done I'm gonna be starting sorting the garage out and painting the floor of it etc before i take the silvia in for a bit of an overhaul.
I'll get some pics of the garage and progress once i get started!
The garage is not huge by any means but it's a big improvement on the last one, will have no bother getting the full car in and closing the door and still be able to work around the whole car. Just got to get it cleared out and get the floor paint down.
Here's how it looks after a bit of a clean up...you could hardly step about in it when I was doing the work on the house. I've kept a bit of kitchen for a workbench for the vice etc but everything else other than the tool drawers will be gone.

Got another bit cleared out of the garage today and decided to try thebcar through the door as its narrow looking and the car is pretty wide, got in no problem just had to fold in the mirrors, really happy with the space i have around the car to work and to have fluorescent lighting and power at hand while working on it is new to me so i'm delighted.
Anyway i'm just gonna keep the thread updated now with what i'm doing with the garage as that is an extension of the car now anyway.
let me know what you's think and if you ahve any ideas of what to do/best hard wearing paint for floor and walls etc

Got the walls and ceiling finished and the garage back in order. Gonna leave doing the garage floor until warmer weather to make sure it's done right.

Did another bit of work last night, fitted new headlights, new alloy rad and hoses, new intercooler kit, the greddy sandwhich plate along with the new defi sensors. New oil, filter and fluids and tidied up any unwanted wiring/hoses/metal in the engine bay to leave it sitting like this:

I then started it to see if fitting the new tensioner solved the problem but no joy. It's there still, not as bad as it was but still there so think i'm going to remove the upper chain guide as a lot of others have done and hope that cures it.
Still have a bit more work to do on the engine bay now before I get started on the inside of the car on the wiring and rollcage, finding time is my biggest problem at the minute.
Scratch that, started the car tonight and the new tensioner has sorted the problem! No more noise. Success!
I gave her a full service while i was at it and removed the oil cooler kit now as well. Next job is to paint the rollcage and do all the wiring in of the new defis and speakers etc etc
I got a good bit of stuff done over tje weekend to it which was nice to see some progress, even took it out for a wee blast with no bumper or lights just to warm it up after hibernating so long.

Decided to take the car out for a run the first good day we had and it started hailstoning as soon as I got it outside.

Whatever they are I like the look of them on the car so i'm happy either way!
Finally have the car back together again and took it for a drive and some fresh petrol, can't wait to b e driving this again. Will be on the road daily from april 1st all going well

they arent ganador, they are reps! you can always tell by how the top part of the mirror has a notch in it
other than that, i fuckin love this car!

Yeah did a bit of researching and the genuine ones have a plug for the 14, sit horizontal and have a big G on the inner panel. They still look good all the same so im happy enough and the fact they're smaller means i can get in and out of my garage handier ha

Managed to find a low mileage uk 200sx with them on it, they are like brand new and the glass headlights look 100x cleaner than the fading jap plastic ones i removed
