an engine from an auto should fit a manual no prob...the only real dif wit an auto should be gearbox prop shaft diff no clutch pedal an some extra wires...there shouldn be anythin dif bout the engine itself

there are 2 major diffrences with the 2.5 24valve engines they are both m50b25's but from 92-late 93 were none vanos and from late 93on had vanos if you are fitting a vanos engine to a none vanos car you will have to change the loom and ecu also the other way fitting a none vanos engine to vanos car lomm and ecu also

also on the auto to man u will need to put a spigot shaft bearing in to the end of the crank shaft it will not be fitted to the auto engine

The spiggot bearing is easily pressed into the end of the crank..

    Its non vanos!
