Maybe he's referring to the fact that , from pics of cars I've seen anyway , that a lot of matte black paint jobs look patchy .... ?

Then we have the best of them . I think it's more of a satin job though . Isn't satin essentially a lot smoother than matte sure ;

ya iv seen them pics before i think it jus come out patchy cos of weatherin on the paint...but nothin a light rub down an fresh layer of paint wouldn sort its awful easy to spray matt/satin paint an get a good finish
