    Default oil light takin a while to go off wen car cold

    hey guys got my 180sx bk goin again afta changin the oil pump, bearings etc. but now wen she cold the oil lite takes awhile to go off an flickers a bit til the car warms up. she is drivin perfect not a rattle out of it wen it warm. but wen it cold da chain timing chain wil rattle a lil if you rev her up slowly. any1 no wat the prob could b?

    What oil ya running in it, sounds like oil might be too thick, it'll thin out when it warms up thus taking away the rattle

    wel lad taught was the oil to so i changed it saturday put in duckhams semi syntetic 10w 40 made no difference

    could be a faulty oil pump ..... check your oil filter , is it the correct one ???

    did you change or check the O ring/gasket on the oil pickup when you had it off?

    might sound like a really stupid question but are you sure youve enough oil in the engine? with the pump and sump out you would have drained more oil that you usually would for a normal oil change

    ave enough oil in her mate changed it again the othe day. didint check r change the o ring on the pickup do must check it out mike deane told me to check it to

    Guessing you dont have an oil pressure gauge? if its taking a while to go out and flickers untill warm its down on oil pressure for some reason.. gasket between the oil pump on the right way? what was wrong that the bearings and pump were changed?

    wel lad the oil pump wen in her so while i had her apart i changed all the bearing and put in a new genuine oil pump an acl race bearings an trust washers
