    Default Re fitting 180sx turbo!!

    I have the turbo off my 180..is there anything u have 2 do with refitting them,do u have 2 refill them will oil when u blot them back on?or will it fill itsels once the turbo is going,someone said it wil have 2 be filled with oil before the engien is started?im unsure?thanks!

    na jus bolt it back up man it'll be the finest iv never filled my turbo wit oil before putin it back in an it works fine...once the engine is started it will fill it

    once it wasn't reconditioned it'll be fine because there would a lil oil still in there..

    better off to turn it over a few times with out starting it and let oil run
    through it.

    fill it wit oil if u can and when everything is installed, just crank the engine i.e dont let it start just to pump oil into the blower itself once started let it idle for a while and then go for a spin ...........thats what i did after my recon im a paro fucker so done it by the book .......

    unplug the camshaft sensor, then turn it over for a few seconds.
    Plug back in your sensor, and fire it up. You should be well oiled at that stage!

    change the oil,
    change the air filter.
    when you start the car DONT REV IT for about 10 mins...

    You could leave the oil return pipe at the botom loose for a few seconds just to make sure theres no air in it. Although i never done this and i had the turbo off my 180 about 20 times and never a problem.
