Well lads , , one of the lads that work with my father has a silvia and he says that when the car is cold there is abit of a rattle in it , , but as soon as he puts it into gear and takes off it goes out of it , , What could it be?? Its only when the car is cold! Does not do it when its warm!

Same its just vvt happens to my S14 too.
Think i read before it happens cause it takes a second for the oil pressure to get up to pressure in the head.

VVT, as soon as you select a gear and touch the throttle it clicks on and the pulley fills with oil

as soon as you're in gear and past 1050 rpm, vvt engages and the thing fills up with oil - the sound is gone
fuckin annoying tho !
mine sounds like a turbo (diesel) sometimes
