    Default turbo wont fit!

Bought an s15 turbo for the 180 and it wont bolt on to the mani. I have a four branch and everything lines up but the part of the turbo for the intercooler piping is hitting the 4 branch before its fully tightened. Some of the piece of the turbo thats hitting is already shaved off from the last fella but it still wont fit properly. I dont have standard mani to try on that so dont know what to do, any suggestions? Am very close to putting a dent in the mani with a hammer so it will clear!!!

can you not just open the bolts and give the core a slight turn, will have to do both sides as the actuator will have to line up....

had the same problem with the turbo coupe but after a little turn it tucked in perfectly...

Exactly, loosen of the bolts that are on the compressor and turbine housing, should be 4 on the turbine and 6? on the compressor, then you'll be able to twist either side around the core to get it to line up again.

Yeah its handy enough, dont need to take the bolts out, just loosen them a small bit, turbine housing may need persuasion with a rubber mallet to spin around!

Just make sure when your done that your oil return is still pointing down!
