    Default new steering wheel ,airbag light flashing

    as above i fitted a dished steering wheel to my s14 and the airbag light is flashing on and off, took out the fuse and the light stays on.
    how do the rest off yee over come this problem as i dont want to randomley start crossing wires on the airbag wire loom as im afraid of setting off the airbag in my dash.

    either run a fuse between the terminals for the airbag so it keeps a complete circuit, or pull the bulb

    just tried the fuse between terminals and the air bag light is still flashing, its either a fault code needs to be erased or the problem is still there?
    pull the bulb is a last resort id say.. theres only two wires a white and yellow

    Open drivers door
    Get in
    Shut door
    Turn ignition to the on position (all the way, but don't start the car)
    Open door
    Reach down with your Right hand
    Press the door ajar sensor button thing 7 times
    Shut door
    Start your car.....

    i tried that mick and there airbag light is flashing code 12? one long pause two fast

    ive done this about 20 times ten slow ten fast and the only thing that changes is it flashes that code...

    i did a quick search on the net and it says that fault code 12 is the Air Flow Meter, hope this helps

    remove bulb i'd say so much more the easiest option
    thats what i done for my hicas system

    just for people who read this and wants to do it the easier way /right way ,there has to a 2.7 ohm 2watt resistor soldered between the two wires for the airbag. probally have to erase fault codes as above ..... you have to press the door close switch 7 times within 5secounds of turning the key on
