Yes i drove it to my mechanic and no there was no abnormal smell coming from the car, its bad luck, if ye want to start the blame game then bang away, Ye obviously don't know what its like to get bad luck
Shouldn't have drove it if it wasn't running right.

And if there was NO water it would smell and after a while she would begin to steam.

I am the lad in question that bought this car.

First of all to the smart fuck that said i was doing rings, I wasn't!

It took me four hours rather than a normal two hour journey to get home cause I took it so easy on it!

I was driving the car 5 hours before it started giving trouble and it did NOT get abuse.

Brought it to my mechanic the following morning, checked everything and there wasn't a tint of water in the car. It had ran out of water and on further inspection fucked the head, the bottom, the lot!

No steam came from under the bonnet, Temperature gauge read normal so ye can blame whoever ye want now but its purely just the worst luck anyone could have asked for so ye're ignorant comments aren't appreciated.

Stick to the thread title and not talk waffle like what ye're doing!
Sorry mate this is not bad luck.
This is either carelessness or just waffle, did you not check levels after your 4 hour drive home, when it started giving trouble did you pull over and have a look at what was going on? Either way i hope you get sorted out ,

I think what probably happened is something came loose which caused the water leak. There was plenty of coolent in it when you left and i'd say a combination of the terrible roads up your way and the long drive caused something to go wrong. I don't know how you could have driven the car for long enough to fry the engine without noticing something but thats neither here nor there.
It's a rotton piece of luck because I had a year of no problems with it and would never have thaught the engine could give up especially with it being so fresh.
Anyway i'm truely shocked this has happened and I hope you get everything sorted soon and get to enjoy it.

This guy got on to me and has an engine there for €600 if thats any use to ya.
