if thats the case the block should be fine id say , an a head skim or new head and new headgasket may sort it maybe..

how long did he have the car or how many kms are on it since you sold it ??

It got 4 oil changes in 4000kms inluding running in, I certainly never abused it, drove it on of course but nothing stupid, I never did a ring in the car, grew out of that

Sorry for the spam but just wanted to say fair play to ye lad, i know only too well that sometimes components on cars can fail and it can be down to nothing but shit bad luck, hope your good intentions are well received and returned if your ever in a similar position,

I am the lad in question that bought this car.

First of all to the smart fuck that said i was doing rings, I wasn't!

It took me four hours rather than a normal two hour journey to get home cause I took it so easy on it!

I was driving the car 5 hours before it started giving trouble and it did NOT get abuse.

Brought it to my mechanic the following morning, checked everything and there wasn't a tint of water in the car. It had ran out of water and on further inspection fucked the head, the bottom, the lot!

No steam came from under the bonnet, Temperature gauge read normal so ye can blame whoever ye want now but its purely just the worst luck anyone could have asked for so ye're ignorant comments aren't appreciated.
