Angry S14a NATS problemo... I'm Not looking to bypass it!

Basically out of the blue during the winter my NATS had a fit. It was odd because I'd just parked it up and went back out and the indicators were flashing. No siren tho.

Anywho, I needed it driving, so I took out all the indicator bulbs and drove it on for a week or two (yes, it started no problem!) Eventually it stopped flashing the indicators so I put the bulbs back in and carried on using the key instead of the Fob, which hadn't worked from the first fit.

Now, I've had the car parked up for 6-7 weeks and out of the blue the fucking alarm has gone apeshit again. Same story, no siren, just flashing the indicators, but still starting, but not disabling via the fob...

What the fuck is wrong with it?! Obviously its not a topic discussed openly, but I'm not looking to disable it, I just want it to work again!

Someone mentioned a dud battery in the siren possibly? Could I have kicked a connection lose?

Meh, I dunno. If anyone's had this problem before please help me!

Sounds like something is shortin out, im surprised it started when you took the bulbs out as its a very good alarm system for the age! My one had a fit last year too, just binned it and got an aftermarket alarm instead.

I was surprised too, leading me to think that it is still actually working, but is trying to tell me something is wrong lol!

Don't fancy binning it to be honest, hard to beat really when its working that is.

Thats very odd that it starts, its not an easy alarm to bypass by any means. The immobiliser and alarm are on seperate circuits afaik. There are a good few threads on sxoc about Nats if they're any help to you
