didnt get as much done today as i wanted to as i forgot i had a visitor coming over from the uk so we were messing about for a few hours then we went at the truck


he arrived on this



we first done the siderails









angled it in behind the cab



added in extra supports for the floor (only got pic off one but added 50x25 on the wider stretches, 3 of these to spread the load) then and welded everything up to this stage fully.



dad picked up my sheeting today, folded lip for strenght



starting cutting the floor and fitted in one side, only doing 2 tracks for the floor, no point in sheeting the whole floor this time as its not going to have dead cars dragged up on it



had twice as many clamps on it before welding it and got the same distance along the edge so looks good now

not much time at it today but
floor finished today and fitted some tie hooks

started at the lights this evening, just need to fit some spring loaded latches to them now and finish wiring on them then once the bodies been painted



they hinge around, some trucks have them coming off altogether but i dont see the need to be honest, just more things to go wrong with cables getting stretched etc



fitted the number plate and a ford top with number plate lights to the lhs light, ford surround just easily solved the no plate light issue

right job lad!!! is der a small bit 2 much angle dwn at the back for a low car 2 go on or are the ramps goina do the job??? maybe its just the way im looking at it!! but fair play doin it would wreck my head bigtime!!

my iveco was built to take really low cars but this one looks as if it will be pretty good too with single piece ramp, i hate when trucks have just one angle of like 45degrees! lol


i will upload some loading angle pics when i get it out on level ground again..

might throw darraghs soarer up on it to see what happens as he has it pretty low at the minute

Car licence will do lad as its well under 3.5 ton and will be even with a car on it.
