Seatbelt-Fail.

Passenger side seat belt wasn't pulling/springing back and taking up the slack, so I went investigating.
For those of you who have an idea whats coming, yes. I got a coil to the face....

I took off the quarter panel plastic side thing, then I unbolted the seatbelt roller/mech then still couldnt get it to wind back in properly... Then I went and used a small flat head screwdriver to pry off the plastic cover on the side of the mech, resulting in a balls up of the coil, then further more, a flying coil to the face.....

Then ensued the feeling of sadness that you've gone too far


Anyways, I want someone to tell me where the fuck I stand right now?
As I see wires coming from the mech into a plug....
Is it as easy as to get a new mech from another 13?....

Any tips/advice welcome, as I didn't have a clue what I was at in the first place.

Why do you want it? Get harnesses!

To keep it tidy ( I use the previos word very lightly...)
Just incase it meets the road one day....
+ I don't have money or harnesses.
And to use harnesses safely you need a bucket seat with two belt holes.

Anyways lol

Get a second hand one off someone and replace it. Same thing happened me in my 180 and thats what I did.they are grand now

no track car shud meet the road 1 day! hahaa shud be other way around. mine is also like that in my car aswell. cud be ating that goes in them?

Don't be thinking that will ever go on the road, you'll be afraid to use it on track then!

haha that happend to me before .and when i got the coil back in it never worked the same again made it worse haha never again

You clearly havent seen me drive this car then...
If its on the road it will have a purpose.

I rested a wheel up between the centre console area and the plastic that covers the seatbelt mech.
This may have been the problem.

Wouldn't be too worried about seatbelt if its not on road at the mo anyway
