Smell of gas when driving...

Gas gas, as in a gas leak, not fumes.
Does gearbox oil smell like gas?
I suspect it may be the cause....

First day out I thought there was a gas leak... Ha.
Hard gettin it into third too, people said the syncro mesh?
I just horsed it on! Just wait for it to go boom!
The centre console is out and the rubber surround is ripped so,... There we go...
