gauge cluster fucked up!

right the gauges in my 180 are all over the place they seem to have a mind of there own,the speedo stays at zero the temp and fuel gauge are off the scale and the rev counter stays around 1500rpm...this problem is intermittant and is horribly annoying...any ideas whats wrong and where i should start?

what kind of guages are they i dont know maybe the outher sleeves of wires the rubber stuff around the inner wire have worning away and is shorting on the metal of the car look at the wires are coming into the car from the sensors hope this helps

there just the standard gauges in the dash...would i be best off to take it out and check all the wires/connections?

check the wires at back of the dash and the sensor wires goin into the dash could be a problem with the printed circurt behind the guages

It could be the gauge cluster itself. Try another one in it if you can.
