How to identify bmw diff?

ive had bmw welded diff for awhile now . goin throw it up for sale. just wondering how the hell do i no what car it was from????
anyway of identifing the model.?

lad ive never seen 1 before face to face. this is the first time i myself ever opened a diff.. so i dont no. i saw it was welded and it seems to be locked solid.. it was welded before i got it. so thanks for tellin me that. but a bit more weld and id say she be a right yoke ladddd
