Default Wicklow, Dublin, Kildare, Carlow, Wexford members look here

right lads here is the deal iv been looking for a new garage for a long time now and i have found one in a good location, the place is huge it is a factory which closed last year that used to make timber frame houses so it is bigger than i need and is in a few sections, range from 1000square feet up to 7,000 i will be useing the biggest for myself, it also has a very big smooth concrete yard for a once a month drift practice,

so the thing is with the place being so big the rent is huge! and in order to be able to go ahead with my plans i will either have to sub-let some of the units or offer car storge this will be a proper orgainised job ware you can park what ever you want ur cars, van, jeep, truck, trailer, boats, what ever, it will be a very secure location which i will be living in a house on site and is fully fenced off with only one entrance on and off the property which runs past the house, the units are also full alarmed so is very secure, and will have use of a fork lift on site and also has a proper truck loading bay,

if anyone knows anyone looking for unit to work from or want storge space let me no, obviosly i will not be renting units to people to do the same work as me but no harm in ringing and see what i can sort out,

as for location it is based its in wicklow 15mins off the n11 so 30mins from south dublin, 45mins from carlow and 20mins from arklow all of the roads are good so no shitty rough back roads, there were trucks comeing and going from this place for the last few years so it is in a good location for traveling to and from(exact location soon as i no further)

any info call me on 0863988285

Where's the location roughly Gem If a car was in storage, could I work on it weekends (surely you'd get some work out of me too) and collect and return it on track days.
Or is it more like long term storage your offering.
pm me a rough price for a year, cheers

    edit with locations ^

as for working on cars in storage, i was never a fan of letting lads do this for insurance pupouses, and other peoples property in the same location but with this place i have been considering a seprate small unit for use it will have some basic tools(oil drains, engine hoist, jacks, axel stands etc) this is just an idea i would offer to( expeianced lads only for bigger jobs), that have no ware to do work on there own cars or normal people with cars stored to do small jobs, there would be a small hourly charge

Thanks Gem I could imagine it would get messy with lads like me arriving to change my spark plugs or something insurance wise especially with other peoples cars being stored also.
The drift days would be interesting though and be handy for me in Dublin.
Be sure to get pics up when all is finalized

Mint idea, i was only thinking about something like this last week. Would u not take a leaf out of the Uk and Us book and open a "Do it urself" garage? Money to be made and a serious idea. Ud need a lift or 2 but a great investment as there are so many ppl out there looking for this type of thing.....
