    I dont think the housing is damaged, i mean a light scrapping! But is that all it needs??? The sil80 is a good girl but being honest ive put 10k into the Chaser and it wouldnt sell even if i tried!

    You could use the sil80 as a back up for fermoy "cut-off switch + fire extinguisher + you're flying".
    Best talking to the experts tomorrow + take it from there.
    I taught that turbo wasn't very old "think I remember bon posting that it was replaced not too long ago".
    Any idea what went wrong to cause the core to fail ?
    Did the oil/water temp go very high ?

    Ya i may do that for Fermoy, hmmmm i must check that!! Dunno if he replaced it!! The car was hotish today alright, not boiling but the weather didnt help!! I tried keepin her as cool as possible ie 2 laps drifting - one driving off boost to cool down!

    Chuck theres a guy up in Port Laoise,Hes very very good and will rebuild any turbo

    he rebuild two turbos for me and they both fucked up

    owens development in the uk chuck... ive used them for all my turbo's over the years and the DO offer a guarantee...

    Cheers for all the Help guys, gonna collect a new one off Carpo later on and rebuild mine as a spare!! Really want to be out there on Sat so its easier this way
