    I know theres a big difference between a 180sx and an astra, but exact same happened in the auld fellas car and twas the head gasket!

    Sounds like that alright

    Yes! Its not called "Red Stuff" though, ha! Its Toyota Long-Life coolant! Its just red in colour..

    Ud be hard going to fuck a gasket on an sr id say. Never seems to be a huge problem with them. Have u properly bled the system with the little nipple?

    It s got a metal head gasket was fine then just took it for a short spin not driven it hard or nothin an just noticed it I felt the lower rad pipe and it was cold compared to the top one guessing the thermostat must be opening right !!

    Ye I bleed the system bloody 3 times an used the bleed nipple

    If your bottom hose is cold and top one is not,, change your stat,,!!

    Thats sounds more like a blocked rad if one pipe is hot and the other cold, they dont usually get headgasket problems
