Hid's and the nct?

Well lads,
my car is up for the test next week and im just wondering will hid's pass the nct or has anyone any experience with this??

google it but as far as i know its certain strengths that fail, cause they say they are a different colour, is it after 8k that a blue twinge appears?? im sure some1 will confirm anyway

went through no bother in the s14a , 6000k hid's and i thought i would deffo fail

they should be ok had a car with 8k hid's few weeks back and it flew through

Had 6ks in my s14a aswell and flew threw no bother.

After checking mine there now and there 10k... Guess they are guna have ta come out.

Are they legal hid's or are they a diy jobbie?

what car is it? the s14a's passed id say because of the globe in the headlamp more so that the K of it. If your headlamps are open it will scatter the light and fail

It really depends how thick is the man who carries out the test and how "boyracer" car you have i think ...
Our Audi went through twice with 6000K aftermarket hids (both high and low beams)
