comes with wires but no joypad.. ya iv the drive out of it now.. as i was going to replace it but couldnt be arsed.. cheap at €25

I'd imagine it's just the laser diode gone they go in all ps3's eventually.

ya the laser was gone but i took the drive out and apart to replace the laser but lost some parts to put it back together so will need the full blue ray drive
