Default help with my car not starting

    Well lads,

I bought a polo in sept and its been perfect until now. Went out today and it wouldnt star at all, its turning over on the key but not firing up... i noticed alot of shit from the breather pipe in around the air filter and was wondering would all this gunk blocking the breather prevent it starting?? it has a spark and fuel pump is priming...
    thanks
    stev

be an easy enough job to clean out the breather (pcv hose yeah?) and check the plugs yourself, then after that you might be lookin at a cps if it has one or maybe an imobiliser problem,
give it a shot yourself first if he thinks its just that..

yeah man well i cleaned out the hose just by squeezing out all the gunk... and ive no tools here in my apartment to get the plugs out haha they are in rush!! why would the car be cranking over much faster and smoother than normal but not firing??

It would crank over alot faster if the timing belt broke of timing slipped, hope its not that though.

not if its an interference free engine,
if their was a mechanic looking at it already?, he would have noticed if it was turning over too fast.
