all they are is a sportier map,some more ignition timing and adjust the afr's slightly,some with slightly raised rev limit,not the best job,as they can cause detonation as there mapped for higher octance fuel,and most of the time run your car lean,and can cause engine damage,

if fitted to your car get it checked,better off with a mapable ecu,as you can map the ecu to your car for best and safest result,

mines also do fully programmable ecus but there generally locked by a mines tuner from japan and thats why people call them chips cause they where locked for certain mods on a certain car

east coast customs told me they can hack a mines about 2years ago
wouldnt have fate myself, took it out of the car and went standard

Its kinda like a NisTune Ecu, cliff is running one on his PS put it on the rollers n its running a bit rich, but recken it was gotten for the car in Japan

as for buying one off ebay id steer clear
