Your right there ted! You could run without wishbone bolts and get a few more mil, but it wouldn't be very safe!!

Exactly! Any more on the rack and you start cutting major chunks out of the engine mount platform, put on the offset spacers and you hit the wishbone bolts with the inner tie rod. Getting around these problems is def a lot of unwanted hassle! We did keaneo's cars rack 25 mil forward and took about the same out of the steering arms on the hubs. Got great lock on the leading wheel without going over centre. Have you any picture of the crossmember?

i did a bit of work on the back subframe this evening...
i burned out the rubber bushes and welded in metal discs using the old metal centers...
i made it so that they are flush with the tops of the subframe though...this will bring the subframe up about 10 or 15 mil meaning that my back arms will be a little straighted than before...
i know its not a lot but every bit makes a difference

anyway pics speak better than words so here they are

    THE UNDERNEATH

THE TOP THAT WILL BE UP AGAINST THE BODY

feel free to comment on what you think

I heard of lads lowering the front of the subframe down with a spacer or a couple of washers and it moves your lower arm slighty and is supposed to give you more grip.....! Like i said iv only heard about this but i know martin french has done this and its supposed to make a difference....! B

Good idea to get the subframe up as much as possible.
Some lads fill the cavities with expandable foam to stiffen up the frame.

I douth it'll hit the body by much if any, nothing a big hammer would'nt fix
